Komtessa's most attractive features are in our own hand-made items, as well as in our ability to produce items designed by caterers themselves. Company Background Komtessa is owned and managed by Alex Travnickova who, with a Swiss degree in hospitality management and almost two decades of experience in hospitality on four continents, is an expert in food service. Alex is also an accomplished artist — a potter and sculptor. It was natural that her experience and talents merge at some point — and so Komtessa was born. Here Alex uses her expertise from hospitality and her artistic gift to create serving and decorative dishes for Toronto's caterers, event planners and rental companies. Our Mission Komtessa serving pieces and buffet displays allow caterers and event planners to present their food in a unique and creative manner. As the production is done by hand, no two pieces are the same, providing each caterer/planner with something special. Our serving dishes inspire chefs and caterers, satisfy servers and awe guests.
